Authentic Roman Coin

This Roman coin depicts Valentinian I, Flavius Valentinianus, Roman Emperor from 364 A.D. until his death in 375. Considered the 'Last Great Western Emperor' because his reign was so successful and the empire declined quickly after his death. His chief work was defending the boundaries, significantly with his brother Valens, his co-emperor. His greatest priority was the army. He was known for improving the fortresses along the frontiers. These were times of constant battles, revolts and assaults, and the empire had to be ruled with great imperial authority. Fittingly, the reverse side of the coin features Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory.

This bronze coin is prong set in two circles of sterling silver. It comes with an authenticity guarantee. Please see below for a size reference.
