Tuareg Ebony Inlaid

Intricately etched Timia cross earrings handmade by the Tuareg people of North Africa. Meticulously inlaid with strips of ebony wood, these earrings are made of fine silver, which is 99.9% silver.

The Tuareg have twenty one unique style crosses, each one represents a village or region in Niger, Africa. They are traditionally given from father to son and are worn for good luck and protection.

The Tuareg are indigenous to the Sahara desert. They are a subgroup of the Berbers which are the original people of North Africa, predating Arab arrival. Please see below for a size reference.
