Seraphinite Tear

Love this deep forest green gem that is swept with silvery bands of mica. Seraphinite is an extremely rare gemstone that is a very dark green color that shines up beautifully when polished. It is only known to be found in one location in the world - the Korshunovskoye Iron deposit in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. Discovered by Nikolay Koksharov, who named it after the Seraphim angels. These are the highest order of angels surrounding the throne of God. He apparently saw heaven in these misty, ethereal stones.
