10mm Obsidian

Interesting variegated beads known as Snowflake Obsidian. Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed when felsic lava from a volcano cools. Felsic lava is a specific type of molten lava that is thick and rich in silica and light-colored minerals like quartz and feldspar. Snowflake obsidian is known for its intricate patterns within the obsidian. These are actually clusters of quartz crystals known as cristobalite. Known as a protective stone, they are said to be calming and grounding.

These large 10mm beads are on a strong elastic cord whose overall meaurement is nearly 9 inches. They are richly patterned and have greek key design spacers. A very versatile, neutral color blend. Please see below for a size reference.
