Ancient Scythian Arrowheads

These bronze arrowheads were made by Scythians, a nomadic horse culture circa 400 to 300 BC. They were an ancient Eastern Iranic people who migrated from Central Asia to the Pontic Steppe in modern-day Ukraine and Southern Russia until the 3rd century BC.

These arrowheads were adopted by other warriors like the Greeks and Romans and they have been discovered in the East Mediterranean region. Bronze replaced stone as the common material for arrowheads around 2000 BC. They were sturdy, easy to make and extremely sharp. And apparently they last forever!

These arrowheads are mounted on sterling silver and are set on sterling earwires. They are such a unique piece of the world's history. They were not only used for battle. Caste arrowheads like these had value and were often used for trading or barter during that time period. Please see below for a size reference.
