Kyanite is a polymorphic aluminum-silicate mineral formed in high pressure atmospheres found in continental collision areas. Earthquakes volcanoes and mountain formations all happen due to these collisions. It is formed under intense pressure and can be found in many areas of the world including Switzerland Myanmar Tanzania US Brazil Cambodia and France - literally all over the planet. Larimar intersting enough is also found in an area of an extinct volcano in only one place in the entire world - the Dominican Republic right here in the Caribbean.
