Based on the ancient levels of Chinese society, these stones depict the categories of social strata known as the 'four occupations.' Though these categories were broad and more ideals than reality, these carvings are precise, and exceptional examples of Chinese artistry.
This collection of four stones comes on a wooden stand that is 16 inches long. The stones are on average about 3 inches square. The carvings are delicately detailed yet ethereal. Each rock is smooth with its own unique color pattern.
