Shades of Green

This rectangle of deep green seraphinite has an alive and fluid melting appearance. It has depth and light and eternal movement. Set in a light frame of smooth sterling silver, it has a tranquil, calming spirit.

Seraphinite is a type of clinochlore, which is a rare mineral of the chlorite group, which is found only in Russia. The lovely feathery patterns are inclusions of mica. It is also known as Serafina, or green chlorite. Please see below for a size reference.
