Tibetan Meditation Hand Bell with Double Dorje

This handmade brass prayer bell is Tibetan in origin and created in Nepal. Bells like these are used often during prayer and meditation. The clear and penetrating sound is similar to the om chant and vibration. It is used to cleanse the aura and surroundings, making the area conducive for meditation.

The cast bell represents prajna, or wisdom. It is held at the heart level, and struck with the dorje, usually using the left hand. The dorje is described as the Thunderbolt, representing firmness of spirit, used to cut through ignorance. Together they lead toward enlightment. The bell stands 6 inches tall, with a 3 inch diameter base. The dorje is 4 inches long.
