This gorgeous burgundy colored stone is known as Ruby Zoisite. It combines the crystal of red corundum with green zoisite. The vast majority of this vibrant combination is from the Mundarara mine of northern Tanzania. This sparkling tear shaped stone is somewhat translucent and it shows wonderful crystal light and luminescence just beneath the surface that just doesn't quite show up in the pictures. Set in a wide sterling silver bracket that allows light to shine on through.
