List 3/874 - Model: 110348
Our newest custom-made petroglyph necklace, exclusively created for Caravan Gallery. There is a 14kt gold plated petroglyph on one side and St John, VI on the other. The necklace is reversible and can be worn either way.
The petroglyph symbol is a common sight around St John. If you have ventured into the National Park, you might have been lucky enough to see the actual carvings on rocks and ruins, especially off the Reef Bay trail. If not, you will frequently notice the logo in many stores around the island. The petroglyph, which dates back to the 1300's A.D., is believed to be a Taino Indian carving that may mean 'the eyes of our ancestors protect you.' It has been affectionately adopted as an island symbol.
This necklace is a lead-free premium alloy with rhodium and 14K gold electronic plating. The finish is permanent, non-tarnishing, and easy to care for. The adjustable 16 to 18 inch wheat chain is included. Please see below for a size reference.
