Throughout history, St John has had a thriving basketmaking industry. The islanders made wonderful baskets - as our friend Eleanor Gibney says 'they can hold all the things we need to carry...from fish to babies.' At one time it was an important industry here. The baskets were handmade of local vine and were of superb quality.
This sweet rendition is solid 14kt gold and is handmade on St. John by resident artists Tom and Alice Krall.
